The Website home page so far.

Website Homepage Progress.

The image above shows the draft of my website put into Wix, to preserve continuity between the digipak, the music video and the website I have used a screenshot of the music video as the top banner of my website. This is only the first draft of website however, and will need a lot of adjustments to full show the potential.

To find potential improvements to the website I will get a control group to give feedback on what would create a more user friendly and more conventional alternative band website.

Website Plan

Website Plan

To ensure I knew what I was doing before creating my website in Wix I used Photoshop, which is software that I am comfortable using to create a plan for the page of the website. This will help me from straying too far when creating the website. I have used placeholder picture until I go and take mine.

My websites creation will also be shown in video format in a later blog post.

Characters

Characters

The characters in my music video, are not related to the bands identity and will be used as someone that the audience can put them selves, having this blank emotionless character allows for more focus to be held on the background and the themes. Having this empty character for the audience to put themselves in the characters shoes.

With the focus being on their actions and how they react to scenarios.

Narrative Styles

Narrative Styles

Narrative style models are very useful in the production of a media test having a known style of narrative allows for the viewer to feel comfortable with the film.

As seen in my storyboard I'd place my film as a non-sequential narrative or a multi-linear narrative as it includes to different interlocked narratives that are slightly out of sequence.

Storyboard Finised

Storyboard Finished

This is a more refined version of the post-it note storyboard draft as I will be able to take this out on the shoot with me as a reference.

Draft Storyboard

Draft Storyboard

To ensure that that the shots I wanted to used fit my idea I used post-it notes so that I could move scenes around to get the best order for them that was most fluid.

The post-it notes include small notes on what the scene should include for future reference.

As well as having the different shots, because of the predetermined time of the song I have to ensure that the storyboard fits with this.

The storyboard and timing sheet is below:
